Beta Zeta is the local chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International. We are an educational and service sorority with 19 members. Some of our service projects are Meals on Wheels (which we do every Saturday), high school students' scholarships, food for parenting classes, gift certificates for teens at Christmas, breakfast for seniors at the County Fair, St. Jude's Hospital, and Share Baskets for needy families and veterans (Hope for Heros).
We started our team 11 years ago in memory of our sorority sister, Sharon Cushman. We have been sponsored all 11 years by Skyline Vision Clinic.
Every year at the walk we serve lunch to all of the walkers and guests. Last year we served 771 lunches. You will recognize us by our black Beta Zeta aprons!
This year we are going to have a special item available for a raffle.
We would love to have you join us at Veterans Park in Canon City on Saturday, June 11th for a fun day of games, music, breakfast and lunch! It all starts at 10:00 am and ends at 3:30 with our release of balloons in "honor of" and in "memory" of. Let us know if you would like to purchase a $5 balloon in memory of someone and the name you would like spoken as it is released!
