Hi Everyone!! This year a bunch of us have decided to put together a team for the Orchard of Hope. The Orchard of Hope is an organization started by Sandi Allen, a cancer champion, that raises money for Fremont County residents who have been affected by cancer. Through this organization people who have been diagnosed with cancer can receive help with everyday expenses, including electric, gas, and phone bills. Money also goes to fuel and hotel rooms to help with the expenses of traveling for chemotherapy and doctors visits. All money raised stays in Fremont County to help our local residents affected by cancer.
This is our first year with a team in the quest to help the families of Fremont County. On Saturday, June 13th, The 9th Annual Orchard of Hope Walk will take place at Veteran's Park in Canon City. As a team, we will have a tent in the park where we will sell snow cones, and have a silent auction, all of the money collected on these items will go directly to the Orchard of Hope. All the while we are doing this someone from our team will be walking around Veteran's Park. We are doing all of this to help raise money for the Orchard of Hope.
